Honey bees have been in the
news frequently in the last year or two. The press has been much more
sympathetic about their colony collapse disorder problem than when the
Africanized or ‘Killer’ bee scare was in full swing about fifteen years ago.
Now more and more of us realized how much we need them around so that we can
get our fruit, nuts and other plant products so we are less likely to pick up a
newspaper and start lashing out as soon as we see something yellowish flying about. Please
